Digital Product Passport (DPP) Readiness Tool

CEC has developed this Digital Product Passport (DPP) Readiness Tool as a 5-minute self-assessment to identify where your organisation stands on DPP readiness - and where support could accelerate your progress.

Before You Start: Does This Apply to You?

The DPP doesn't apply to every business — only those with EU exposure and specific product categories are in scope. Answer the two questions below to check.

Market exposure: Out of scope

Because your products are not sold in, manufactured in, or do not pass through the EU, you have no exposure, and the Digital Product Passport (DPP) does not currently apply to your business. The same goes for related requirements such as the EU Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and GS1 Sunrise 2027, which are similarly tied to EU market presence.

That said, this regulatory landscape is moving quickly, and scope can change as delegated acts are published and supply chains shift. Category-agnostic — applies whether the trigger is a new formulation, colourway, hardware revision, batch, or material grade.
